Looking to keep fit this Winter, anyone for a dance?
The next Strachan Scottish country dancing evening will be on:
Friday 12 February
at
8.00pm in the Village Hall.
If you haven’t been before then please come along for dancing and a great social evening. You don’t
need to know the dances as there is a walk through at the start of each dance expertly led by Isobel McMillan.
For more information please call Robert on 850571.
Why not come along:
Isobel McMillan, who teaches the Banchory and Durris Scottish Country Dance classes, has offered to step
in and lead our evenings until Isobel McDonald is recovered.
Club Goals:
- continue with a social dance once a month in the Strachan village hall
- commence at 8.00 and finish by 12.00 pm
- continue to make it open to people of all standards and help people with limited experience enjoy the evening
- remove the restriction on only couples attending in order to encourage as wide a participation as possible
- to encourage the social aspect continue to provide wine and soft drinks and people to bring finger food for the mid evening break
- encourage participants to suggest other changes which will make the evening more enjoyable and incorporate these changes over the season
- hold the cost at £5 per person, but if we have sufficient numbers attending to cover the fixed costs, then reduce the per person cost in the New Year
