Strachan Dancing

Looking to keep fit this Winter, anyone for a dance?

The next Strachan Scottish country dancing evening will be on:

Friday 12 February

at 8.00pm in the Village Hall.

If you haven’t been before then please come along for dancing and a great social evening. You don’t need to know the dances as there is a walk through at the start of each dance expertly led by Isobel McMillan.

Why not come along:

Isobel McMillan, who teaches the Banchory and Durris Scottish Country Dance classes, has offered to step in and lead our evenings until Isobel McDonald is recovered.

Club Goals:

  1. continue with a social dance once a month in the Strachan village hall
  2. commence at 8.00 and finish by 12.00 pm
  3. continue to make it open to people of all standards and help people with limited experience enjoy the evening
  4. remove the restriction on only couples attending in order to encourage as wide a participation as possible
  5. to encourage the social aspect continue to provide wine and soft drinks and people to bring finger food for the mid evening break
  6. encourage participants to suggest other changes which will make the evening more enjoyable and incorporate these changes over the season
  7. hold the cost at £5 per person, but if we have sufficient numbers attending to cover the fixed costs, then reduce the per person cost in the New Year
